Christie’s October 24th sale features an incredible lineup of wines from the Avery Family Cellar. John Avery MW (1941 – 2012) was one of the most exceptional wine merchants of his time, leading his family firm Avery’s of Bristol in the importation of both the classic wines of France and cutting edge wines from the New World. The sale includes a treasure trove of 19th and 20th century claret and many vintages of exceptional Burgundy. These are extraordinary wines with superb provenance.
