Christie’s NY season opener is a two day affair with an evening sale followed by a multi-vendor day sale led by the collection of Jay Stein. The quality of the property in the evening sale is variable, but the peaks are definitely of interest, with ’90 Conti, ’95 Jayer Cros Parantoux, ’61 Latour, and ’45 Mouton – all offered in magnum. Day sale highlights include six bottles of ’78 Conti (and three bottles of ’78 La Tache), all with good levels, Egon Muller Sharzhofberger TBA in magnum, and an interesting collection of spirits that includes a 1966 vintage Glenlivet.
